Utah Insurance Licensing Procedures

 

  1. Pass a Utah Insurance test with Prometric
    • Keep the emailed copy of your test score and be prepared to show it to Prometric when you are fingerprinted
  2. Apply for a license through Sircon @ www.sircon.com
    • Choose:
      • Apply for a license
      • New insurance license (Resident – Individual)
    • Be prepared to give information about the last 5 years related to where you lived and worked
    • Pay the insurance department for the FBI/BCI background check and license fee ($100+)
    • Keep the emailed receipt for these fees and show receipts to Prometric at the time of fingerprinting
  3. Make an appointment with Prometric for fingerprinting
    • Follow the instruction on the FINGERPRINT APPOINTMENT page to make an appointment
    • Pick a date and time and pay the $6 fee (fingerprinting takes 15-30 minutes)
    • Things to bring to your fingerprint appointment:
      • Email showing passing test score
      • Receipt showing fees paid to Sircon
      • Driver’s license or other government photo ID
